Assessments

A comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation is designed to gather information about an individual’s pattern of psychoactive substance use and associated psychological, social, and physical consequences. This evaluation will include a diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and risk assessment. The evaluation is completed by a structure interview using standardized formats assessing for mood, cognition, personality, and co-occurring mental health conditions. This evaluation will also include an examination of a person’s social support system, employment, family dynamics, legal issues, and housing stability. When appropriate, and with written consent, collateral information from a loved one, a medical provider, or probation may be helpful. This evaluation will synthesize outcomes by confirming or ruling out a substance use disorder, identify co-occurring conditions, and recommend an appropriate level of care per ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.

Out of pocket cost will be billed 24.20 per 15 minutes which is the current Medicaid reimbursement rate. The assessment can take between 2 to 3 hours.
