About
Grieving Together is owned and operated by Sarah Lawrence, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who provides individual therapy for adults experiencing grief and loss. Sarah offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to express vulnerable feelings such as pain, anger, guilt, and confusion-helping clients feel understood and less isolated. Sarah supports clients in finding meaning or purpose after loss while fostering emotional recovery.
Sarah works with individuals grieving a wide range of life transitions, including the death of a loved one, disability and chronic illness onset, loss of job/career, and collective or social loss such as community trauma. Sarah also provides compassionate support to women who have experienced the loss of the dream and expectation of becoming a mother after infertility or miscarriage. Sarah helps women cope with childlessness-not-by-choice.
Sarah’s understanding of grief and loss is informed by both her professional expertise and her personal experience as a former IVF patient who has come to terms with childlessness following a fertility journey that did not end with a baby.
Sarah’s professional background includes supporting individuals experiencing prolonged grief who may turn to substances to cope with emotional pain. For clients with a history of substance use, Sarah offers assessments and evaluation services tailored to their needs.
Based in Southern Maine, Sarah offers telehealth sessions. While she is in the process of becoming credentialed with various insurance providers, she is currently accepting private-pay clients.
